Owen earned his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto and his Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia.
Since the age of 15, Owen has been immersed in high-performance sport, strength and conditioning, and rowing. Through years of competitive training, he developed a passion for pursuing excellence and a deep appreciation for the role movement plays in health, performance, and quality of life. These experiences naturally led him to coaching, where he now serves as a rowing coach and Strength Training Lead for the Thunder Rowing UBC youth rowing program.
During his undergraduate studies at UBC, Owen became captivated by the sport of Olympic weightlifting. He has competed for over five years and has consistently ranked among British Columbia’s top weightlifters.
Drawing from his background as an athlete, coach, and physiotherapist, Owen combines evidence-based practice, progressive exercise programming, and hands-on treatment to help clients move better, perform at their best, and return to the activities that matter most to them. He is dedicated to continually refining his skills and integrating the latest evidence-based treatment strategies, allowing him to provide the most effective and personalized care possible.
Whether your goal is recovering from injury, improving performance, or staying active for the long term, Owen understands that physical activity is more than a hobby, it is an important part of who you are. He is committed to meeting you where you are and helping you achieve your goals with confidence.
Outside the clinic, you’ll find Owen in the gym blasting squats, coaching athletes on the Fraser River, or painting Warhammer figurines
Chad Luarca is a Registered Massage Therapist with a background in Kinesiology from UBC and over a decade of experience in fitness and rehabilitation. He graduated from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2022 after working as a personal trainer from 2013 to 2020.
Chad works with a wide range of clients, from desk based professionals and busy executives to active individuals and recreational athletes, and his experience in high performance environments, including EA Sports, has shaped his understanding of how stress, workload, and lifestyle habits contribute to pain and dysfunction.
Chad takes a practical, results focused approach to treatment, aiming to identify contributing factors and support long term improvement. Sessions are tailored to each individual, combining hands on treatment with clear, realistic home care strategies.
Chad commonly works with neck, shoulder, and upper back conditions, areas often affected by desk work, stress, and working out. Treatment is tailored to each individual, with a focus on supporting movement, comfort, and ongoing maintenance.
A range of techniques may be incorporated as needed, including myofascial release, trigger point therapy, joint mobilizations, stretching, and deep tissue work. Treatment is guided by what is most effective for the individual rather than relying on pressure alone.
Chad values a relaxed and collaborative treatment environment, where clients feel comfortable, informed, and supported throughout their care.
Outside of the clinic, Chad enjoys walking and training his corgi Nori, working out, watching basketball on TV, exploring new food spots, and traveling.
